Staff & services

We assign every client an event manager who will liaise with you and oversee all details from start to finish. On the day of your event, you’ll also have the services of an event concierge ready to solve last minute glitches and ensure everything runs smoothly. We also offer the following services:

  • A conference-level loading bay allowing major equipment and stageing to be easily wheeled directly into our ballroom
  • Access to a ‘green room’ equipped with a well-stocked refrigerator, stationery and private restrooms that you can use during your event
  • Pads, pencils, water and mints are standard for meeting room set-ups
  • Foreign currency can be exchanged for up to USD 500 per day
  • Dedicated secretarial services such as dictation and transcription can be provided at an extra cost


Newly built, our hotel incorporates the most advanced technology available for first class events. Within our ballroom there is a load bearing ceiling with hang points for technical equipment, ensuring that major audio visual stageing looks discreet and seamless. There are a number of branding opportunities available such as projections outside the ballroom entrance and an LCD panel for logos and agendas. Through our excellent contacts we have access to a wide assortment of technology solutions and can assist you in selecting the right equipment for your event. We also have technicians on site who can troubleshoot as needed.


There are 25 languages spoken within the hotel and our multi-lingual staff are available to assist with interpreting needs. Simultaneous translation is available for meetings and may be quoted upon request.

Business Centre

Our fully-equipped Business Centre is staffed by dedicated professionals who understand the urgencies of business. We have four computer stations available as well as copy and printing services, and a Business Concierge who will provide assistance with your queries.

Now, when you confirm a qualifying event* that arrives at Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. on or before March 31, 2023 and is signed by July 31, 2022, you’ll be able to offer your guests, your hosts, your staff, and you the following special benefits:

  • USD 10 rebate on the group rate to the Master Account up to USD 10,000

Terms and Conditions:
*Qualifying events must have USD 50,000 or greater in rooms and/or banquet food & beverage spend. The contract must be fully executed on or before July 31, 2022 and the meeting must arrive on or prior to March 31, 2023. Offer may not be combined with any other offers. Not applicable to groups already contracted.

**Maximum staff members are five people. Additional reception guests or hours and additional staff members will be charged at the Hotel’s prevailing rates.
